Fading Portraits
People are young, ignorant, vulnerable at a certain period of life
There's that one friend, depending on advices like a motherless baby
But now time changed, my father told me I changed, a picture in sepia
I possess "new passions, new thoughts, new ideas,"[1] new questions,
And he starts to point the flaws, I start to spot his messy mistakes
Everything Everywhere All at Once[2], in a blur of moment, future moves
And shifts as he starts to fade like a sinful portrait locked away in the attic
